What can Samsung do to stop their spiralling profits? Their answer, start making less smartphones, and we thoroughly agree.
Samsung have committed to changing the R&D cycles in order to design more focused products, and will be building less, but hopefully building those better. We don’t yet know where those cuts are supposed to be made. It wouldn’t be hard to guess that Samsung might want to reduce the number of lower-end devices, of which there seems to be thousands.
We could also be seeing them dropping some of the variants within the flagship range. Devices such as the Galaxy S5 Active and Galaxy K Zoom could be the last of their kind.
