Over the past couple of years HTC has arguably made the best looking smartphones around. The curved aluminum design of the HTC One M8 is truly a thing of beauty and it seems as though the company will be hard pressed to top such a great design.
Graphic designer Jermaine Smit decided that he should take a stab at designing what he feels next year’s HTC One M9 should look like. The design looks amazing and I am quite sure many people would agree. Usually concept designs are flights of fancy and never really prove to look anything like the actual product. What makes this concept design unique is that it not only gives you the looks but also solves some design flaws of the previous M8.
For instance, one of the biggest issues some users and tech gurus had with the M8′s design is the inch of separation between the bottom of the phone and the active user interface (above the navigation buttons). This quirk made typing a bit difficult and sometimes uncontrollable for people with small hands. The argument for the separation is that it houses the BoomSound speakers, but Smit’s clever design pushes the speakers and logo to the bottom in a very elegant way.
