Kirsty’s popular YouTube channel about her TTC journey was called “Conceive A Baby”, and she’d used the platform to share her journey to fertility. Her videos are funny and touching.
A tragic turn of events unfolded which she could never have anticipated:
• She quit her job to focus on IVF treatments.
• Her husband had been renovating their house so it was in a complete state when he died.
• Her husband Royce cancelled his life insurance policy just two weeks before he was killed when his car flipped after leaving the road.
• She announced his death on her YouTube channel and then straight away announced her pregnancy.
Her reactions have been full of grief and guilt as she tries to come to terms with the loss of her husband and the growing baby inside her.
Silver linings
Fortunately, she has been able to focus more on her unborn child, Pacey, and friends established a fund for her to cope with the financial responsibilities. Even better, TV show “A Current Affair”, heard about her plight and pitched in, offering to carry out a complete renovation of her house.
