‘Sex Factor’ And Mass ‘Face-Sitting’ Protest Is Going To Be Held

The UK has recently passed legislation that regulates their porn industry. According to The Guardian this would mean that paid-for online porn or video on demand (VOD) must now adhere to the same rules as content produced for DVD films sold in sex shops.
While I'm sure it was well intentioned, the actual regulations are pretty random and some just downright bizarre.
Whether you agree with porn or not, there are a few issues that should be looked at as objectively as possible:

- There is a lot of porn out there that is harmful and degrading to the actors (especially the female ones) and can lead to psychological damage for both the performers and the audience.

- There is a lot of illegal child porn and rape porn out there.

- Porn can be detrimental to sexual development and to sex within relationships.

- There is also a lot of consensual porn where the actors express their physical desires and needs.

- Porn can be helpful in sexual development and sex within relationships.

- There are a lot of practices in porn that can be detrimental to the performers’ physical well-being and long-term health.

- There are a lot of production companies who take the utmost care to keep their actors safe from harm and disease.
So as you can see, it really is a mixed bag.
While I believe most things done with explicit consent between adults should be allowed, the fact that the industry is what it is allows for a lot of exploitation. Thus I agree that certain regulations should be in place.
Yet, the seemingly random regulations that have been decided on has been criticised for everything from being sexist (face-sitting and female ejaculation is not allowed, but deep-throating and male ejaculation is) to homophobic (no fisting allowed) to just plain prudish (water sports are illegal too).
And the kinky bunch are up in arms! No spanking, caning or tying up is allowed either. This means you can tie actors up in a normal crime or police drama, but not in a porn film.
In response to these regulations a Porn Protest will march up to Westminster. According to London24 these protesters will engage in mass face-sitting and participate in a ‘Sex Factor’ game show.
I can’t help wondering how that will go down…
